Permission is expressly granted for college and university financial aid offices and high school guidance counselors to print sections of FinAid and distribute them for free to their students, provided the copyright notice is retained intact and the material is clearly attributed to the source.
Permission is also granted to news media to quote small sections of FinAid for review purposes. News media may include a snapshot of the site's front door in their articles, if so desired.
FinAid or portions thereof may not be sold for profit or incorporated in any commercial documents (print, electronic or online) without the prior written permission of the copyright holder.
Linking and Permissions
Educational and nonprofit organizations are encouraged to add a link to FinAid from their sites, and do not need permission to do so.
Commercial and nonprofit sites may also add a link to FinAid. However, they may not state, suggest or imply that their site, service or product has FinAid's endorsement, nor may they charge their clients for accessing FinAid.
It is okay to link directly to specific sections of FinAid. If you do so, however, we ask that you also include a link to the front door of the site (http://www.finaid.org/).
Newspaper and magazine reporters may include a snapshot of the FinAid front door in their articles, if so desired.
Using a frame to associate advertising with FinAid is not permitted.
